A meadow that romances with nature, surprises at every step and stays humble in the dominating presence of Himalayas

It is not only famous for its lush green meadows and beautiful wild flowers with clear view of the Himalayas but also for butter milk holi celebrated there. This is also known as ‘Anduri Utsav’ and is attended by local folk and many tourists. It is arranged by Garhwal Mangal Vikas Nigam. In this festival butter and milk is smeared over each other. A traditional ‘Raso’ dance is also performed. It is so beautiful that even the tourists join in.

In winter the place wears a thick blanket of snow and provides trekkers with a captivating view. With a vast area to cover with a different view from every angle, this place is truly magical. The flora and fauna it offers you are something you can find nowhere.

Dayara Bugyal in Uttarkashi is one of the most beautiful meadows in India and no nature-loving trekker should ever miss the chance to be there.

 It spreads over 28km. With a magnificent view of many known peaks like Bhagirathi, Bandarpoonch, Black peak and unknown peaks, clean and pure water bodies reflecting the beautiful trees and skies and flowers covering the vast area describes the astounding Dayara bugyal. Dayara bugyal is situated in the district Uttarkashi of the state Uttarakhand. Dehradun is around 250km away from Delhi. This distance can be covered by train or by air or by any road vehicle. From Dehradun it is around 7-8 hours of drive to reach base camp. It is a fairly easy trek.
